What is Stinger Box, and how does it work?
Stinger Box is a small scale electrolysis box for use by the hobbyists to clean metallic artifacts. While to some it may look like magic, electrolysis isn’t at all a new concept. It's been used for a long, long time as a way not only to clean but stabilize historic and precious metallic items. The proper application of a steady DC electrical current can move dirt, grime, and rust away from an artifact and restore its appearance, often with stunning excellent results. At Stinger Box we have simply made this very easy for you to accomplish with our electrolysis box, and include everything you need to clean small artifacts. If you are a beginner or have been using electrolysis for a long time, the Stinger Box is a great tool for anyone looking to clean and preserve small artifacts.
Key features of the Stinger Box:
MSRP: $134.99, MAP: $124.99
Powered with an 110V AC Wall Charger, no batteries are required!
The voltage is adjustable with the simple twist of the knob. Up to 24V is possible, which would be used on larger relics, silver or gold. Use lower voltages on copper and other materials. See the instructions for guidelines.
The brine mixes with water to create the proper electrical flow needed for electrolysis to occur.
The brine, carbon rod and cables are consumable items, and replenished via a recharge kit also available where you purchased your Stinger Box kit.
No complicated accessories are necessary, but common household items such as a soft cloth, a tooth brush, and 0000 steel wool may be helpful with the cleaning process between electrolysis sessions.
Assembled in the USA from parts sourced in both the USA and worldwide.

Nothing else is needed to get started cleaning except for some water to add to the brine mix. Everything else is included in the box. However some items may be helpful and they include a toothpick, a toothbrush, a soft cloth and some 0000 steel wool. We advise using any of these with caution as they may damage the artfact.
